MAC / PC CorelDraw® Templates Instructions

Corel® Templates (Version 5.0 or higher)




1. Start CorelDraw® Application.

2. Select File > Open. Locate and Open the appropriate template.

NOTE: CorelDraw® Templates will have an .CDR extension.



VCR Sleeve Slippage

If you are printing video sleeves using the USVCRVS template, you may notice that the printout isn't exactly lining up with the VCR Sleeve 
paper stock. To correct this, a slippage gauge is printed on every sleeve.
To adjust the printout, please do the following:

1.  Print out a blank template on one of the VCR Sleeves
	This will not waste your VCR Sleeve, the printout will be on a non
 	usable area

2.  Open the Object Manager 
	Layout > Object Manager

3.  You'll find a series of icons, click on the pencil icon for all the     layers 
	These icons control the layer's basic properties. The pencil icon            controls whether you can edit the layer's contents

4.  Select Edit > Select All > Objects
	This will select the entire template

5.  Select Arrange > Transform > Position
	This will enable you to adjust the position of the template

6.  Make sure there is check mark in "Relative to Position"
	This will move the template in respect to it's current position

7.  Look at the printed VCR Sleeve (step 1). 
	The printout will line up to a number on the milimeter scale

8.  Enter the number into the H (horizontal) section in the Position window

9.  Click on Apply
	This will apply the changes to the template

10. Click on the pencil icon for all the layers, except the "Work Area"
	This will deselect all the background layers, preventing you from            inadvertantly modifying the template

11. Resume your printing
	Your template should now be correctly calibrated for any slippage            that may have occurred with your printer

IMPORTANT NOTE:
Before you pick a template, make sure you know which paper stock you will be printing to! If you have standard US letter size stock (8 1/2 x 11), pick a template from the US list. If you have European/Asian A4 size stock (210mm x 297mm), pick a template from the A4 list. IF YOU CHOOSE THE WRONG TEMPLATE FOR YOUR STOCK, YOUR PRINTOUT WILL NOT LINE UP CORRECTLY!
